The Arts Council of Princeton Members Exhibition 2019 had a great turnout. This exhibition is a fundraiser and I was grateful ‘The Herd’ (my drawing shown here) sold pretty quickly. Last year there seemed to be several parents and grandparents looking for something to buy so I intentionally created my piece for the show.
It is a heart, imperfect, filled with cat faces. We have two cats at home (a 2 year old and a 20 year old) and had heard the phrase ‘as easy as herding cats’. Think about that.
I was actually there when a woman purchased it. She said it was going to be a gift to her niece who loved cats. yes! #ElainaRPhillips
My first Arts Council of Princeton Member Exhibition was in 2018. On September 8, my block print ‘Connected’ sold!
Here I am next to it (black, square frame) as Jim Levine, Interim Executive Director of the Arts Council of Princeton, talks with me about communiversity
In 2018, they had demos, dancing, food including @thebentspoon and a community mural plus @945pst and Chris Rollins. All are welcome to attend! #artscouncilofprinceton #communiversityartsfest
