As far as interests go, I have participated in Aviation Challenge, part of The U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville AL and definitely recommend it.
They have youth and adult programs so everyone is invited.
Here I am in Huntsville. The second picture I am with 1st Lt. Tara Sweeney (USAF, Retired).
In 2019 I was part of a Aviation Challenge, Mach III Elite my Pilot/RIO team earned the Top Gun medal.
Wikipedia describes it this way: “The Mach III Elite program is run only once per summer and trainees are required to follow a strict military code of conduct and etiquette which tests their mental and physical abilities. The Elite’s challenges help them as young adults. It is designed to bring out the best in the trainees and helps them identify and build upon their weaknesses as well. The Mach III Elite program began in 2005, and is an intense 12-day program which is only available to alumni of the Mach III program. This is for die hard trainees only and will include Airsoft, MOUT, and a Crucible. This Mach III Elite program is not for the faint-hearted and will test each trainee’s ability to overcome physical and mental strain. At the end of the week, they are distinguished from other graduates and will have learned invaluable information to help them become better young adults.”
